1964 Lobster Pound

The Old Ferry Wharf on the Edge of Charlottetown

Lobster on the Wharf has operated from our location at the "old ferry wharf" on the edge of Charlottetown Harbour since 1964. Originally established as a lobster pound by Gordon MacKinnon, we expanded in 1981 to include a full seafood market, and in 1986 to include a full-service restaurant.

Our Success Built Over 30 Years of Dedication & Quality Service

Today, Lobster on the Wharf is the largest seafood restaurant and market in Prince Edward Island’s capital city, offering seating for 220 indoors and 220 outdoors. Whether heading to the waterfront for a delicious seafood meal, or purchasing lobster, mussels, clams, oysters, crab or fresh fillets from our seafood market — operating under the stringent requirements of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s food handling standards — Lobster on the Wharf has been “the place for lobster” in Charlottetown since 1981.
